Well every one of you must have seen the labels of organic, natural, herbal and Ayurveda on several products. But only few of us know the exact difference between them. In general we all think of them in a common category as they sound same, but there are several significant values that place them at distance. In a developing country like India, the markets are being showered with diverse variety of such products. And it has became hard for the consumers to opt for the exact products according to their need. Organic products: 

According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program, organic is “a labeling term that indicates that the food or other agricultural product has been produced through approved methods. These methods integrate cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, irradiation, and genetic engineering may not be used.” So this implies that organic products are generally those products which are made without any help of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. Organic products are minimal processed and do not undergoes animal testing. Only those products are certified organic, whose participating ingredients are at least 70% organic. 

Natural products 

The term natural itself explicates its origin, as natural products are those products which are derived from the nature either from the plants or minerals. So this shows that naturals products can be the outcomes of plant and minerals both, while organic and herbal products are only derived from plants. Chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides are used sometimes to increase the yield and for the enhancement of natural products. However artificial colors, thickeners, artificial fragrance and other additives are highly prohibited for natural products. Natural products are generally used for the enhancement of quality living in the form foods, cosmetics and other supplements. 

Herbal products 

As the name suggests, herbal products are originated from the herbs, shrubs and trees for quality living and medical purposes. Herbal products are generally extracts from the roots, leaves, flowers, barks, fruits, seeds and other parts of the plants. Herbal products are known to be completely free from harmful chemicals. Therefore most of the skilled practitioners prescribes only herbal products for skin and hair related problems to prevent the harmful effects of chemicals on skin. Herbal products are mainly rich in medicinal values and are often used to treat several health issues. Herbal juices, herbal immunity boosters, herbal powders and several other herbal health products are there in market that claim themselves to be totally natural and chemical free. 

Ayurvedic products

Ayurveda with the help of its herbs and minerals has attained a remarkable position at global level in the treatment of many severe diseases. Ayurvedic products involves number of formulations obtained from plant and mineral extracts. But with modernization and development in field of medicines, several companies has managed to enhance the medicinal properties of Ayurvedic products with the help of certain chemical and preservatives.
